Best day of the week

It is Friday. Yes, I have checked. If you don’t believe me, see for yourselves (I just realized how ridiculous it will be when someone reads and clicks that link in a day or two, but to hell with reason).

I am writing on my last essay. It’s in Cyberculture Studies and about Artificial Intelligence. Yay. The 2500 words (+-10%, which I intend to make use of) are due on Monday. 1300 to go, it ain’t a thang.

Simultaneously, I am getting amped and ready for the derby tonight. Our team, Fragments FC (mostly Swedes) face the Norwegians, Rompehullet (effectively translated as the ass-fat). It is on, best believe.

After that, it is Friday night. You know how it goes.

Go to sleep soon.

Get up at again at around 2 to watch the Champions League final (to hell with Man U).

Go back to sleep at around 5.

Try to get up in reasonable time (will probably end up being at 12) to work on the last essay for this semester.

Treat myself to pancakes first. Simply to inspire motivation, that is.

That is what I plan to do.

Reminiscing the stache

I’m sure you remember my mustache (those of you who met me during that glorious era, that is). I’m not so sure, however, that you remember my post about the riddance of my mustachelesness.

Regardless, my post about it is by far the most viewed post of this blog with well over 600 views. An extraordinary number, considering that most of my posts do not even reach 100 views.
I guess people dig The Stache. And they dig Tom Selleck. Rightfully so, that sexy beast of a man.

Waiting in style

Well in time for my job interview, I find time to read the paper and have a latte. The Rokeby Centre in the background is where im going to be assessed, measured and judged.

Surprisingly terrific day so far. They call this fall/winter? 21 degrees, really?

Splendid.

There is not much left of this semester. Assignments are due, exams on the way. Still. Here we are, skipping class to drink coffee and do nothing.

Rebellious? Yeah right. Truth of the matter is that this particular lesson is pretty useless and we won’t miss a thing.

I hope next time I blog I have something to write about. For all of our sake.

I’ve got a job interview on Tuesday. It’s within marketing and it would be stupendously and incredibly awesome if I were to get it.

You can start wishing me luck already, if you want. Not that I’ll need it. I am the shit.

Musterer of thoughts

The galloping herd of mustangs that were my thoughts was coming straight at me. I got on, fearful of being a split-second too late and missing the moment. Nothing happened at first – the calm before the storm. They started to stirr. It soon escalated into a frenzy of bucking steeds. A raging sea of unguided creativity that threatened to throw me off and leave me emptyhanded. I needed to focus. Concentrate that ocean of raw power and funnel it into a thin, precise ray of thought. All that existed was me, my keyboard and the cup of black creative-accelerator fluid next to me.

I had set a goal. It was reached and passed three times over. Now I have a pack of tired horses sleeping in a corner and a rumbling stomach.

Food for thought

For the first time since I arrived in Perth there is a proper rain storm. There were warnings and reports of wind gusts at up to 125km/h. As most often is the case, the real deal isn’t as dramatic. But still, it is a pretty decent rain storm.

Bad weather is fuel for my thoughts. When there are fewer distractions and the comforts of my room increase in appeal, my mind accelerates.

It is time to harness the galloping herd of mustangs that are my thoughts.
