The $10 steak I had at the Rosemount Hotel yesterday.
The $10 jugs of beer that they will start serving at said hotel next wednesday.
My generous fridge that is now packed with the most scrumptious foods known to man. Including three different kinds of meat.
That I am back on track with my exercising.
That the university’s wireless does not block the flash links on ninjavideo, which means that I can get my oh-so-vital fix of Family Guy and such.
Boag’s Draught. Try it. It’s Tasmanian.
My classes, my teachers. Basically I like Uni, at least from what I’ve seen.

Like not being able to watch the Champions League game between Inter and Manchester United tonight. Technically I am able to, but I would have to be up at 04.45 for starters. Furthermore, I am on the Uni’s wireless which isn’t super fast to begin with and I am pretty far away from the source. The experience of trying to stream the game would probably feel like watching it from inside a tumbler with a skipping Dimmu Borgir record playing on full blast.
In my sleep, I’ll be rooting for Zlatan to kick Ronaldo square in the nuts.

Can you see it? I can. It is a glorious thought. Here’s hoping.

What a great day. Got up early enough to eat my breakfast in the sun. Had 4 classes in 2 different units. Cyberculture Studies and Foundations of Advertising. One lecture and one tutorial (a smaller, workshop-style class) of each. It all seems very interesting and the lecturers and tutors were great. I squeezed in a work-out in the evening and ate a good and somewhat healthy dinner.
I will sleep like a baby.

Uni starts tomorrow. It feels nothing like previous back-to-school experiences. I should dread this cursed day and wish for a never-ending holiday. I don’t. Instead I feel only excitement. Even though I know that there will be periods of inevitable suckyness, I wouldn’t postpone it if I could. I am a noble and humble academic on a righteous quest for knowledge and higher learning.
Studious. Taste it. Fantastic.

My love for her grows with every second I spend in her salty embrace. She wipes my weariness away and replaces a dark and cloudy mind with clear blue skies.
She washes my soul clean.

Campus life is crazy. There’s always someone partying and some people go as far as always being that someone. Apparently the past Swedish residents have had that tendency. When we moved in the housing manager told us to take it easy. We told her we would. Liars.
Yesterday some girl I’ve never seen before called to us from across the yard.
-Are you the Swedes?
-Yeah we are, why?
-Are you partying tonight?
-No, we’re taking a break.
-Oh, that’s too bad. I heard you guys were drinking all the time and we want someone to party with.
We took a cab to the liquor store and got our drank on. You can count on us.
We pack and deliver like UPS trucks

Three gringos trying their luck in Perth for the first time.

Crazy-ass campus building. We were happy.

Scarborough beach. It was windy as hell.

Cottesloe beach.

Guess which two had just recently arrived to Australia.

We had to. It was very relevant.

King’s Park hangaround.

King’s Park view of the city centre.

Quite possibly the greatest invention of man. It’s simple really, you just need to go to one of the Sunday Session hot spots sometime in the afternoon and order in a cold one. Everybody’s happy. They play good music. There is not a trace of the far-to-familiar Sunday anxiety and boredom.

I googled the photo and that is despicable, I know. I wanted you guys to get a general idea of what the place looks like and me and my camera are not getting along very well at the moment. I am on it though.
