That’s all for now. I’ll tell you more about it later.

I’m tired y’all.
The lesson today was extremely laid back, we didn’t do anything strenuous at all actually. In total contrast, work today was very hectic. My boss called me in early, so I worked from 3 to 9 and there was a ton of people in the store the whole time. I guess people don’t give a fuck about the financial crisis – when the paycheck drops in they still want to get their shop on.
I’m skipping class tomorrow morning. Well, not really, I’m not that rebellious, although I sometimes like to think that I am. I kind of picture myself somewhat like James Dean in Young Rebel – ready to hop on my bike and ride away with neither a plan nor destination.

Sidetracked a bit there, my apologies. The truth of the matter is that I do not have a valid passport. It might be the first time in my life. Actually, that is pretty rebellious. No ID, no home, no purpose in life. Carried away, again I’m sorry. My mind strays. Anyhow, I have to get a new passport and I thought it is best to get it over with as soon as possible. Tomorrow at 09.00 I will be waiting by the door at the po-po’s office.
I just realized – for the next five years I will have a mustache on my passport picture. Sweet.

word⋅poop⋅ing
[wurd-pōōp-ing]
- noun
1. The act of writing for the sole sake of producing a sequence of words, with no correspondence or relevance to real topics or arguments.
2. To talk nonsense.
3. To stray from, or avoid, the point.
4. A meaningless proclamation of words, void of any substance at all.
Scenario. Mandatory essay about our group presentations that we did earlier this semester. Our teacher told us that it is completely pointless, that we should just put 1500-2000 words down on a paper and hand it to her.
Solution. Wordpooping 101 – a cup of strong coffee, a playlist with a mix of some of the best funk, hip hop and soul ever produced, a thesaurus near at hand, a comfortable chair and deft fingers. Combine these for a mere of 1.5 hours.
Result. 1500 words comprising of 25% pointless adjectives, 25% incomprehensible adverbs, 25% unneeded conjunctions, 25% extremely outdrawn interjections and a 100% bullshit.
There you have it. Wordpooping. A discipline in which I am now the Undefeated, Undisputed, Welterweight Champion of the World.

Feeling studious

Last week of regular studies coming up. After that it’s exam week and then we’re done for the year. It feels pretty sick. This fall has blown by unbelievably fast. It’s definitely the most rewarding part of my academic life so far and I’m sure it hasn’t peaked yet. I actually really look forward to going to school tomorrow.
That being said, I should probably get some sleep. Yes, but let’s not. I’ll watch a movie instead.
I’m a renegade, bitches.

I am saturated. There can be no more food or fluids added to my being. It cannot be done. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, pumpkin pie, apple pie, wine, beer, bourbon, scotch. I probably forgot a few things, but let’s say this evening has included pretty much all you could want in life.
Thanksgiving is freakin’ sweet.
Me, Rasmus and Fabian are playing Trivial Pursuit right now. Drinking some beer too. It’s a close game. I’ll let you know if I win, otherwise the preservation of my manhood will vow me to silence.
Thank you all, for everything

The sun is out. I’ve slept til’ I could sleep no more. It’s Friday and life is good. Maybe I should have put some more effort into the time magament department, but there’s no point in looking back now. I’m eating while I blog. Who says men can’t multitask?
Re-watched The Dark Knight yesterday. It was just as good as when I first saw it. I did notice some new stuff, like you always do the second time around. Maggie Gyllenhaal was actually semi-attractive in some scenes, although that might be more because of the wine I had in me.
I want to adopt Michael Caine as an uncle.
Tonight I hop on the train to Ransta for a weekend of total relaxation at my parents’ house. We are celebrating Thanksgiving – a bit early, I know. I am really looking forward to all the delicious food that I do not have to cook myself. Fabian and Rasmus are coming with me and some friends to the family are joining tomorrow. It’s gonna be sweet.
Well, I best be gettin’ to work.
Stay on the hustle

Major in Advertising and Mass Communication
November 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment
How does that sound? Seems interesting to me. Apparently it’s very easy to change things and mix stuff up when you get down there, so it’s not written in stone.
As it looks right now, these are the courses I will study the first semester:
-Communication and Digital Technologies
-Cyberculture Studies
-Media and Social Context
-Introduction to Journalism
From what I’ve heard, the first semester is a bit dull and the more interesting stuff comes later on. Anyhow, I feel really good about the whole thing.
This is Mustache Jake. Signing out, over.

Advertising and (insert major here)?

I feel weird. It seems like I am actually done with both the essay for tomorrow and the final portfolio for my English class. It feels like I should be doing more, but I don’t know if there is anything more I can do with either. Ah, the troubles of greatness. And yes, I am rubbing it in all of your faces. Take it in, suckas.
On a more serious note. What I am thinking about right now is what I’m going to study at ECU. Apparently, Advertising and Journalism is not a good combination of majors. Advertising is already a given, but I don’t know what the other will be. I guess I can let my future teacher decide for me. I’ve got a meeting with her in a while and it’s then and there it all will be put on print.

Thirteen and a half hours. That’s how long this day was. It doesn’t sound that long when I say it now. It felt long though, but I’m finally home from work. Just sittin’ in my chair bein’ Mustache Jake. A cup of noodles in my hand.
We had a meeting with the head of Advertising from ECU today. It was pretty interesting, but most of all it got me even more excited about leaving soon. It’s starting to feel a bit surreal that we’re actually leaving in less than three months. Bye bye slushy winter, hello scorching summer.
Looks allright to me.
